Where to start reading the bible cannot be fully determined
This is because the Bible is not poetry or a novel that needs to be read from a particular chapter to a particular character.
God words are not understood by the reading pattern of human but by the way, the spirit led – Roman 8: 14 
The Bible can be read from anywhere even from the book of Acts.

But most times, a lot of new Christians especial the youth tend to start the reading of their Bible journey from Genesis (The creation of heaven and earth) to Revelation (The Endtime prophecy)
Notwithstanding, a Good Christian is advised to continue reading the Bible daily for a better understanding of the scripture. 
The more the reading, the more the spirit of understanding grows at understanding his word. 
That is the right way to deal with the word of God.
But wait, let consider this again 
What Bible verse, chapters or passage are you meant to start from if you are just a new Christian?
The answer now is 
You can start from any of the listed portions of the Bible below 
1. John 3: 16 – 17

This is one of the most popular and recited Bible verses in history. 
It’s is mostly to project the love of Christ for unbelievers and the new Christians. 
When this verse is recited, it opens one’s mind to the unexamined love God has for us.
For this verse says; For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
That’s it 
2. Psalm 23: 1 – 3
Psalm 23 has been a popular portion of the Bible that makes one ask or earn needs. 
Most Christians use this bible portion to make a request to God for protection, shelter, food, cloth, and other necessary things according to the will of God. 
But in this aspect, we are making more emphasis on the salvation quote for new believers.
This is it: Psalm 23:1 THE Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.
Psalm 23:2 He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters. [Rev. 7:17.]
Psalm 23:3 He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him–not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake.
3. Genesis 1: 1 – 3
The book of Genesis is the fundamental book of the Bible. It is the one that states the beginning of the world before and after recreation. 
All new Christians or believers must read the first part of this Bible for a brief intro on how Powerful God is. 
Reading…. Genesis 1:1 IN THE beginning God (prepared, formed, fashioned, and) created the heavens and the earth. [Heb. 11:3.]
Genesis 1:2 The earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the very great deep. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters.
Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light; and there was light.
